The postgraduate diploma programme, “Technical Conservation Studies” is a new programme, of which accreditation was achieved in 2016.

Accordingly, Technical Conservation Studies - a nominally one-year programme - will be offered as a postgraduate diploma programme at NQF exit level 8. The 2019 intake of this trimester-based programme is currently underway, achieving graduation during November of that year.Offering preparation for both commercial enterprise and employment in conservation, the programme equally accommodates both the aspiring private practitioner and the candidate seeking employment in an institutional environment. The programme's first trimester is of an introductory nature, while the second trimester permits the student a degree of specialization.
